Such a function isn't available in the XSL-FO 1.0 definition ... arithmetic
on and assessment of the contents of a page are not available ... all you
can do is extract markers that show up on a page, and even that is
limited. You can extract the dictionary heads, but you cannot count the
entries.

It would have to be some kind of extension.
