Doug,
XEP is instantly available in any environment that provides java 1.1.8
or newer. The installer is a java program, all you need to run it
is to execute java -jar setup35_*.jar. XEP itself is a java program
too, instead of relying on scripts you can simply set correct classpath
and execute
java com.renderx.xep.XSLDriver
Moreover,
Mac OS X is a BSD Unix with MacOS-like user interface. That is, Unix
shell scripts will work just fine with Mac OS X; and the installer
does create the scripts (xep.sh). All you need is to install XEP in
the usual way.
