I'm not sure where your problem in comprehension lies ... XSL-FO section 4
on the Area Model is clear, especially in 4.4, that XEP is correct ... what
was it about the wording in the XSL-FO Recommendation that made you think
another presentation for your example is correct? Which written materials
did you consult when presented with this difference to make you believe
there was any ambiguity?
