Hi there,
I'm evaluating XEP 3.7.1 for generating a Japanese pdf. When I open the document, Acrobat Reader 6.0 says "The encoding (CMap) specified by a font is corrupted." After dismissing the document, the japanese text appears fine, but I can't select text and searches always turn up no hits. In Acrobat (full) 5.0, when I try to do a search, I receive the error: "Attempt to release an unlocked object" and I can't select text.
I'd be happy to provide the fo source and the resulting pdf off-list.
Using XEP 2.8 to render the same document, the pdf opens fine and can be searched, but as far as I can tell I can't do <fo:inline font-family="Courier,HeiseiKakuGo">English and Japanese here...</fo:inline> and even have trouble with <fo:inline font-weight="italic">English and Japanese here...</fo:inline>.
Thanks,
David
