XEP crew:
I am using XEP 3.7.7 client. Here is an xsl-fo snippet that opens aruser.pdf
from a link in another document:
<fo:basic-link external-destination="url(file:aruser.pdf)">
<fo:inline color="blue">Accounts Receivable</fo:inline> </fo:basic-link>
The desired behavior is for aruser.pdf to open with the "fit-width" initial
zoom. I have created the appropriate processing instruction to make this
happen in aruser.pdf, and *this works*. In other words, I can open
aruser.pdf in Acrobat Professional 6.0, and see in the "Initial View"
section of the Document Properties that this PI has been respected. However,
when I follow the link noted above, the document opens as if "fit" or
"fit-height" were the setting. This makes me think that the link itself has
been created with this setting, which would override the document settings.
When I try to use the Acrobat "link" tool to see the properties of the link,
I get the following message: "There was a problem reading this document
(18)."
So there are two questions:
1. What is causing the error message described?
2. Assuming that the link is being created by XEP with a specified initial
zoom, is there a way in the URI itself or in some configuration to override
this behavior & use the document's initial zoom setting?
Thanks in advance for your always-excellent help.
