With PDFs generated from desktop applications (e.g., FrameMaker via
Distiller), it is possible to use Acrobat Professional's "Save as RTF"
function to get a crude but usable RTF rendering of an Acrobat file. With
XEP-generated PDFs, this function fails with the following error message
from Acrobat:
Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the
following error: Could not save document structure (exception caught).
<Bad PDF; error in processing fonts: bad Type0 font>
Has anyone else on the list encountered this error message?
