I'’m rendering DITA output. Occasionally the fo file is produced, but
no PDF results from it.
I believe it could be a problem with SVG files, and resolving URIs at
the W3C site:
http://www.w3.org/Help/Webmaster#slowdtd
It would be possible to rewrite all the svg files to use local URIs,
but that would be a right pain!
It might be possible to get IT to redirect the URIs to local copies.
The best solution, IMO, would be for RenderX to run a cache or local
folder of regularly accessed DTDs. Maybe with an option to ‘Use local
DTDs’, or not. Would this be possible?
Has anyone else come across this problem, and what have you done about
it?
