[xep-support] Image resolution in PDF output

Hello,
From what I saw in the user guide, it seems that the image resolution
defaults to 120dpi when not set in the image description (for PDF output).
I need to create PDFs with a resolution of 300 dpi (press quality) but
can't find how to modify the default resolution. I'm using SVG graphic
files and, by definition, they are resolution independent. Does anybody
has had the same issue and found a solution?
