I don't know what you mean by "not transformed". Please be more clear.
Lowercase "fi" is a ligature in the English language, meaning if you are
using a font that has an "fi" ligature and specified it, then "fi" (and
others like "ff") are being replaced by a single character.
If sounds like you are specifying a ligature for "fi" but the font does not
contain one.

When transforming using XEP and Oxygen 16.1 every occurrence of the letters
"fi" (as in "first" and "filter") are being dropped. XEP has no problem with
upper and lower case "Fi" though. It doesn't happen with Apache
transformation. My transformation is only slightly customized with some
logos and graphics.
Any ideas?
