Dear Mr. Brown,
Thank you very much for very much for your quick reply. We were able to find a solution for this problem by using the fonts as you suggested.
I would like to ask you again about a license certificate for our customer Asiana Airlines. Are there any news about this topic so far? I attached my last email about it to this one. It is very urgent for our customer to get such certificate.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Sebastian Witt

Betreff: RE: [xep-support] Korean and English Characters Mixed in Mono-Spaced Font
I am not quite sure I understand the question.
Is the issue better stated as:
“The Korean font we use does not have monospaced English characters?”
Because except for punctuation, most all CJK fonts are monospaced.
If that describes your issue, then you should use:
font-family=”Courier, YourKoreanFont” and even set the font-selection-strategy=”character-by-character”
Thus any enclosed text would first use Courier if the character exists in Courier and then use “YourKoreanFont” to find the selected glyph.
<fo:block font-family="Courier, Malgun" font-selection-strategy="character-by-character">

Subject: [xep-support] Korean and English Characters Mixed in Mono-Spaced Font
Dear RenderX Support,
We need to mix Korean and English characters and layout the text in mono-spaced font, with whitespace and linefeeds preserved, like this:
[cid:image003.png@01D0943E.82B8B290]
Unfortunately we do not know how to achieve this because the Korean font we use is not mono-spaced and the mono-spaced font we tried to use, Courier, does not support Korean Hangul characters.
Do you have any idea how to achieve this? Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards,
Uwe Goersch
