Yes, my mistake. I had read that if XEP couldn't find my font family
it would use the default. But, duh, my second font option was Symbol,
which XEP did find and use for everything, which is why I got only
numbers and punctuation marks.
As well, I didn't realize that the configuration file comes with all
the descriptors for Windows TrueType fonts commented out. All I had to
do to fix my problem was uncomment them.
Sorry, and I'm afraid that won't be my last dumb question as I don't
even understand some of the documentation (and sometimes can't figure
out what to 'Google' for).
